Very True! But vodka means vodka in Russia and so does Kaleshnikov means Kaleshnikov. So its exactly as it says on the tin. If you need to reply telephone the office dealing with your application, quoting your reference number. However, to be certain please take the above steps. Just make sure a tel...

Your visa is ready. Please collect your passport on the next working day from the Application Centre where you submitted your application. Hmmmm...interesting. After conducting some extensive reasearch into the above and as per the latest Oxford English Dictionary, it means to me that her visa is r...

Your employer needs to apply for the lost WP document to the relevant WP team.

You can't apply to obtain it.

Check UK BIA website and e-mail them with your questions.

Hi there! I had a very similar problem whilst applying fo ILR. There is no mention of the WP document on the form but since I applied by post, the caseworker wrote to me asking for all my original WP documents (3 so far) The funny part is that WP documents are the employers property and not the empl...

I am sorry to hear this ma'am. You must be going through a lot just by having to know how someone played their game so well at your kind expense.

I wish you all the best in putting forward your case to the relevant authorities. Good luck and keep strong.

Why on earth will someone go on WP upon having HSMP status?

Its like an EU citizen applying for student visa to study in the UK

That remark you make is beyond my understanding.

Its either 5 yrs on Work Permit or 5 yrs on HSMP or a combination of both adding to 5 yrs, that can lead you to Indefinite stay.

Good luck

Dear friend, First things first, you do not withdraw your WP application, your Employer does it because they are the ones who apply for it in the first place. Secondly, before change in employment, unless you currently hold a WP in the same position with the same skill set - then the advertisement c...

Gone is the age old concept of love and relationships. We live in a world where those scruffy old men who you place on the hot seat decide if you can really fall in love or not. I heard of loads of such experiences where the only thing that got in-between love and relationships was either internatio...

I understand what you are saying - it will be good to keep a record of this miscommunication and events between the company and yourself that ended you in not applying EC.

It may help in any future applications.

Thats very sweet of you to make sure you prove your innocence on why the mistake was made.

However, the Home Office is more concerned with the mistake than why the mistake was made in the first place.

Wish you all the very best.

You can apply with whichever company you wish. Applying with this particular company is not going to put any golden stars on your record or applying with another company is not going to put any black stars either. Has it already been more than 6 months from the issuance of WP?

Yes
A new WP will have to be applied by your company. This will also show a 6 month plus gap on your leave to remain affecting your future chances of settlement.

No
The please apply for it asap.

Good luck.

As I said members provide their views here and you need to call HO and enquire and not just rely on member's views here. Sometimes not even the best solicitors are certain of the course of action HO can take.

Technically speaking, you are allowed 28 days from the expiry of your leave to either re-apply for leave to remain in any category or leave the country. But sometimes, the HO will just let go. It will be useful to call them and enquire. Board member's views here will only provide you a direction, ul...

Basically this is your situation: When in August 2004 you were granted WP3, your employment with the previous employer terminated and you were expected to apply for FLR (in relation to that WP3) to commence employment or to obtain legal status. But you applied FLR3 in February 2005, so from August 2...
