Re: changing from tier 2 general to tier 4 - ihs refund

Your questions are not about an IHS refund, so this should probably be merged into your existing topic at https://www.immigrationboards.com/uk-tier-4-student-visas/switch-from-tier-2-to-tier-4-t282003.html where these questions were already asked and answered. +How was the visa change implemented? w...

Re: Tier 4 dependent visa for child born in UK

Is it ok if my bank statement shows less than the required amount of the money? No. A child born in the UK to someone with limited leave does not need to apply for dependant leave unless it is re-entering the UK after travel outside the Common Travel Area. However, such a child is only covered for ...

Re: Final Degree/Award not yet received

My offer is unconditional but I just wanted to know if anyone experienced same thing in the past so that in case anything such happens, I can tackle the issue appropriately. What is your concern exactly? If the offer is unconditional, your current course and the evidence of having completed it are ...

Re: Final Degree/Award not yet received

Do uni consider this or my offer will be withdrawn? I have the final transcript with me but not the degree.. This is a question for the university. It sounds like you may have a conditional offer, and they will need evidence of you meeting the condition before formally confirming the offer and issu...

In that regard, both the T4 guidance and the "employer's guide to right to work checks" say that students are permitted to work part-time during term and full-time during vacations.
But not before the course starts.

Re: Providing evidence that I am allowed to be in France.

Will that be enough evidence as far as British immigration officers are concerned to approve my Visa? No. You appear to have wrongly believed or been wrongly advised that you can apply in France. You can only apply for a Tier 5 Youth Mobility Scheme visa in your home country or in another country w...

Re: Tier 4 visa to Tier 5 (Youth Mobility) visa

the risk adverse position I have seen from some universities is beyond any reasonable or sensible position. The reasons that they have withdrawn sponsorship or removed students from courses defies any normal conventions. To reassure OP, in a decade working in second-tier immigration advice and comp...

Re: *urgent* Bank statements for YMS (Tier 5 visa)

where does it say anywhere in official documentation 'on the date'? All I keep seeing is 'within 31 days of the application' and dated 'no earlier than 31 days before,' which is ambiguous and seems to mean a 31 day window either side. See my post above dated Tue Feb 05, 2019 1:17 pm which quotes th...

Re: *urgent* Bank statements for YMS (Tier 5 visa)

Am I right to interpret the ambiguous 'within 31 days of the application date' as within 31 days before or after, as no regulations say by this particular date? You must show you have the relevant amount of money on the date you applied. The evidence of this can be up to 31 days old. The evidence c...

Re: Tier 4 visa to Tier 5 (Youth Mobility) visa

Your single biggest issue is your uni - they could take action to remove you from your course if they become aware of the fact that you no longer have a tier 4 visa. I would check with your uni that they will continue to let you study under tier 5 YMS, some can have a very risk adverse approach. So...

And we understand you have to return your passport/docs for sign off to head office in NYC I believe, but thats no issue getting those sent and returned back because of other family still in the U...

I got my CAS(undergraduate degree), I'm going for Tier 4 Visa. I do not qualify to bring dependants under Tier 4 category. What's their best route to join me in UK? There is no specific route for that. They would need to be eligible for a study or work visa in their own right. Otherwise, they can c...

I did try to apply the single-use visa via www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk. After filling a incredibly long form, I found out that I can only attend the appointment in my own country (Taiwan). Something went wrong somewhere because that is definitely not so. Indeed the whole point of the single use BRP visa...

Do you know if the info from https://www.gov.uk/uk-border-control/be ... for-the-uk applies to me? It says "You’re not from an EEA country
You must have a valid passport to enter the UK. It should be valid for the whole of your stay."
It doesn't apply to anyone -- it is wrong!
