Re: Tier 4 dependant,Mistake on BRP and administrative review

I have seen a rise in international student self help because of the backing away from the universities. The universities want the fees that international students bring but not the additional issues, especially with the HO looking over they shoulders. I work in the sector myself, and I agree with ...

Re: Tier 4 dependant,Mistake on BRP and administrative review

As for further help, it is not uncommon for universities to draw the line at helping only their directly sponsored students. The university is not sponsoring dependents, that is entirely up to the student to take forward. Hence I don’t share the view that international student visa teams at HEIs ar...

We had tried to ask university visa team, they informed us it may be a mistake, but made it clear that they will not help us on this (maybe because the visa is DES), when we ask these thing they just gave vague description and unprofessional answers.
That's awful. Which university?

Re: Tier 4 dependant,Mistake on BRP and administrative review

I don't understand why you have not asked the international student adviser these questions. They are in a much better position to help you than any random stranger here, and probably better informed about the intricacies of student and student dependant visas. 1. Should I apply the review by myself...

Yes to all.

Re (5), any switch from Tier 4 dependant to Tier 2 could only be done in your home country.

Re: Tier 4 (Student) victim of domestic violence

First, speak to the international student adviser at your university. They can refer you for emotional support, and they can also advise on how to report a change of circumstances if you no longer wish your spouse to be in the UK as your dependant. I am not clear what your in-laws think you have don...

Re: Conditional Fixed term agreement

This is not a force or getting around the policy. The employer is in fact offering skilled students with professional qualifications flexible contract terms for fixed terms and will not refuse taking you on a fixed term because you are on Tier 4. Why should a student sit back at home when you can d...

Re: Conditional Fixed term agreement

Does your concern mean the student should not work temporary because it has a clause it can be made permanent if certain conditions are met in future? Maybe. As the employee, I would probably have a concern that the employer is in effect making a permanent job look temporary to get round the Tier 4...

Re: Conditional Fixed term agreement

You may be conflating a couple of separate issues, so to clarify: If you hold a Tier4 visa and got a permanent job which requires a switch to tier 2 visa. The job doesn't need resident labour market testing. Also they job she got is on the shortage list. Meaning the employer doesn't necessarily need...

Re: Conditional Fixed term agreement

The job is permanent but offered on a fixed term based on Tier 4 visa with a condition it will automatically become permanent if she gets a Tier 2 visa. That is a contradiction in terms. It sounds like it is a temporary job on paper at the moment, specifically because the employer knows that she ca...

Re: Are we eligible for 30 hours of childcare

Does anybody know whether we can apply as the home office was very unsure and told me that he had never been asked this question before. See the previous discussion. It is not listed in the immigration rules as a public fund, but those with a public funds restriction are (for unclear reasons) exclu...

Re: is tax free childcare public funds?

Interestingly, they're not saying IT IS public fund, but they're saying that if your visa says that, you can't have this benefit. Is it perhaps that only those who are receiving certain other welfare benefits which are on the public funds list are eligible for the tax-free childcare? Hence while it...

Re: Registering company on a Tier 4 visa

1) i have contacted Companies House and there is no need for a UK visa in order to dormally register a company. Does that count as 'engaging in business'? 2) The company would not start trading before I move to another visa category though. Does that make any difference? The Tier 4 policy guidance ...

Since I have previously withdrawn my studies prior to enrollment, if i'm going to undertake a new (same level) course this year, will it contravene with TI4 policy guidance as referred in paragraph 60 and 62 (a) ?
No. For some reason you are ignoring paragraph 57. See my previous reply.

Re: Tier 4 Academic Progression

I'd like to ask if my previous withdrawal will affects my new tier 4 visa in terms of academic progression. Where are you reading that your CAS must confirm academic progression? It is required for a Tier 4 visa leave to remain application, but not for a visa (entry clearance) application. See para...

Help what should I do?
Wait at least a week, maybe two. The Home Office's administrative and mailroom processes in two different countries are highly likely to be different, especially if one of them is an EU country without many visa applications.

Does he need to provide maintenance funds/proofs for this offer? What documents he needs to submit apart from IELTS, Degrees, CAS letters?
