Furthermore, I think citizenship awarded to new-arrivals through marriage should have one indefinite exclusion: Newly Irish (newly any-"EU-statelers") should never be able to pass on their nationality to someone else through marriage. This way, a full family cannot re-locate by sending one person f...

Re: Translation services

Does anyone recommend one? I went after some but they are charging between 90 to 130 for a single certificate with less than 250 words. Well we had to pay the same price.....I think the one in Cork was cheaper than Dublin. You might also think about sending your documents to UK. As long it is with ...

for ca.funke

Our case is in fact like this, that the DOJ did not process our application within 6 month. We gave them already a final deadline and once this deadline is breached, I will do my best to punish them. So my plan is not to report to the commission, but moreover to all the relevant deputies in the boar...

Moreover, they also stated based on this requirement refused EU.1 applications, would take 3-4 month to ...

Hi guys, Just to give you a short update.....since the ECJ ruling in the Metock case took place, I just went once to the DOJ and the officer was not really updated on it etc...so he could not tell me anything new. I suspect that in most EU.1 cases they did not respond to applicant’s whether the EU...

Did anybody call so far the helpline or tried to obtain based on the new judgement stamp 4EU Fam? As the DOJ (as they did in the past) tends to sheet on people...this time we should try to pressurize them give stamp 4 EU Fam. Prior they will invent other barriers etc. Therefore, I will go tonight t...

We should all contact the DOJ these days and ask for stamp4 EU Fam.

or no asking is the wrong word....demand stamp4 EU Fam and make pressure
since they deserve to be treated harsh.

Want to see their faces when they have to deal with hundreds of people more than usual.

walrusgrumble

So my dear friend walrusgrumble form the DOJ, As you can see the DOJ was wrong, the minister was wrong, the Irish government was wrong and finally yet importantly, you have been wrong. It is confirmed now that power to rule its own immigration (EU member states) is limited by EU laws. There is no mo...

That means the restrictive approach taken in the Akrich case is obsolete and in the judges eyes the judgement (Akrich) was wrong. That is just another way to say so.... That means full VICOTRY and stamp 4EU FAM for everybody!!!!!! There is just a backdoor mentioned at the very end of the text (last ...

Hi Ca.funke, No....so far we did not try to renew the stamp 4. But I know from somebody (non-EU), who is married to a UK-citizen (wife) and has two small kids. At the time when he wanted to renew his stamp 4, he was unemployed and DoJ made him trouble when renewing his residence card. They regularly...

Yes, I can confirm this, they try not to make people too angry and reduce potential damages. We got 1 year stamp 4 after 5 month.....our case is very close to yours Ca.funke; but I do not think that this will mean that each year whatever your circumstance are you are going to get stamp 4 for your wi...

any dates for the ruling....

I wrote to the ECJ, ( for lobbying purposes and to ask for details etc), but I do not think they are going to give me any info

Does anybody has an idea when the judgment will be published. I do not hope that this will take a couple of years....or any other timeline they usually follow.

Best

Dear walrusgrumble, The problem is the DoJ took the wrong approach to tackle this immigration-law-bypassing issue. Just rewrite your Irish interpretation of directive 2004/38/EC and state that at the time of application in the state the non-EU national must be lawfully present within Ireland. That w...

Dear walrusgumble, It is actually very basic....but apparently you need some private lessons (well not really, I just think that your approach is a little bit too transparent IN FAVOUR OF THE DOJ) or are you just trying to discourage people? I am glad that somebody is reporting on the Irish EU.1 disaster. Since my wife and I are also directly concerned about this issue, we are happy that the media got sensibiliser. This is exactly what I mean.....

It is exactly as I thought. Based on this Irish times article they (DoJ) just try to establish a prototype case. In addition, for sure they are going just to present rejected asylum cases similar to Akrich with the intention to apply then this prototype ruling also to cases that are similar to Jia c...
