Re: "Intended Travel Date" vs. Visa Dates vs.....????

But I know Americans don't need this test, hence the tricky nature of it. OK I'm confused LOL. The tricky nature of what? Why did you even bring up the TB test? Are you just using that as the reasoning as to WHY the three-month window of entry permission is not any longer? Because it has to ...

Re: "Intended Travel Date" vs. Visa Dates vs.....????

So it's a tricky one. There has to be a line in the sand on how far your entry to the UK can be extended. For any spouse to be granted, your spouse would need a TB test. That TB test needs to be valid (for 6 months) for the application and during entry into the UK. Spouse visa applications could ...

Re: "Intended Travel Date" vs. Visa Dates vs.....????

Hi all, My husband and I are trying to make preparations for our spousal visa spouse of what? application which we intend to submit this summer. However, we are becoming more and more confused the more we research issues surrounding dates for the application. We understand that the visa application ...

Re: Dummy Applications

Until you actually submit/pay for an application nothing happens, nothing will be reviewed or pre-screened. It's just work in progress and if not updated after a few weeks it will be deleted. It makes sense to have this facility for complex applications, certainly for immigration. I believe you can ...

Re: Dummy Applications

We wouldn't get in trouble for doing a dummy application would we? No you wouldn't. It is just a dummy app. It gets deleted after about 10 weeks if you haven't logged in to continue. Hey CR001 - than you so much for your reply from a while back. I somehow forgot to enable notifications on this post ...

Re: 88K Saving Route - Financial requirements

Bumping this because I would also love to see an active thread in general about folks who are applying for/have gone through the process relying on the cash savings route. We are in the US, and are a few months away from applying for my husband's spousal visa which will be cash-savings-based rather ...

Dummy Applications

A good while ago, I was advised that people frequently proceed through a 'dummy' application on the gov.uk website to gain first-hand knowledge of any requirements it has/questions it will ask. I was just wondering if anybody had done this recently and - if so - if you had any problems getting it ...

Re: Confused about abode/residence requirements?

My husband (US citizen) and I (UK citizen) are going to be looking to return to the UK sometime within the next couple of years. We would be applying for a "Appendix FM Partner" visa, obviously. I am really confused about the abode requirement. Everyone I see on here posts about what information ...

Re: Potential reduction in Minimum Income Requirement increase from £38700 to £29000

What confuses me is the complete lack of preparation or forethought with the new policies. Namely: 1. Why they decided to lump family visas in and along with skilled worker visas. The two are not identical and nowhere near the same. In general, family visa recipients will have FAR more resources ...

Re: Potential reduction in Minimum Income Requirement increase from £38700 to £29000

What's the latest thinking on the potential hikes for the "Cash Savings" route requirements, as opposed to all the brouhaha over the increases for the annual income route's requirements? I find it....very disconcerting that they have blurted all of this out and completely ignored issuing any sort of ...

UK Citizen returning with US spouse?

Just looking for some pointers as the whole visa landscape is confusing. So, I am a dual citizen, I guess? Born in UK, so UK citizen with passport. I am also a naturalized US citizen with US passport. I emigrated to the US in 2003 and have lived here since then. I have been married to my husband for ...
