Tier-1 (General) - Extensions and settlement... New Rules...

Since the other topic has been rightly locked and I hope someone also gets banned... I am making this new topic where we can discuss the extensions and settlement rules' updates that we hear... Some people in the other topic were posting the replies they received from UKBA... Which was very helpful....

Why dont you switch to Tier-1 from within the UK... if you are confidenet that you will qualify then apply from here... there are many advantages... no limits... no break in residency hence no delay in ILR provided the rules remain the same... you can stay within UK as long as you have made an appli...

Only degree certificate needs to be submitted... You can submit as much evidence as you want but keep in mind that the ECO will go through the whole lot and waste time... so an application that should only take a couple of hours to complete will take longer... and if any doubt is raised about these ...
