Re: BRP Renewal (with ILR) - fees and timescales

Hi, There is no fee being charged for ILR BRP renewal now(though I was charged 75.20 GBP in 2022). Wife applied for it in Dec'23, submitted the biometrics on 11th Dec at London Mark Lane, Sopra Steria, 20 Mark Lane London. Was not charged a penny and we did not opt for any additional services from U...

Re: ILR Renewal

Try one for London Mark Lane, you may be able to find one sooner. Don’t select the Premium location option.

Re: ILR Renewal

When I renewed mine in 2022 I paid about £76 on UKVI site. When my wife applied for renewal last month(Dec’23) there was no charge. This is not same as UKVACS appointment fee that they try to charge for sooner appointments. If you are in no rush then there are ample free appointment slots available....

Hello Experts, I had ILR in 2014 visa Tier 1 (G) Visa route and my BRP is about to expire on June 2024. What do I need to do? Do I need to apply for ILR extension or some BRP renewal or so. Please advise. Thanks Manish Read below https://visas-immigration.service.gov.uk/product/biometric-residence-...

Re: ILR BRP renewal experience/Timeline + a question

UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) are developing a digital immigration system. This means we are replacing physical documents with an online record of your immigration status. This is known as an eVisa. What is an eVisa? An eVisa is an online record of your immigration status and the conditions of you...

Re: Replacement BRP

Hi, How did you receive your decision, was it in post or via e-mail? I was asked to submit my biometrics in person instead of IDV app. Submitted the biometrics on 25th Feb via UKVCAS in London, Mark Lane, awaiting decision. I received my decision via email. That’s odd. Does the refund transaction give any details on who is it from. Check your spam mail folder just in case.

Re: Replacement BRP

Finally got my decision today! It took around 10 weeks after my biometrics - its a bit longer than the normal 8 week timeline, but given mine was an ILR BRP I'm relieved it didn't take even longer. (Many people said it can take several months for ILR BRP replacements) My timeline is: Submitted UKVI...

Hi, please keep us posted on your outcome. Mine is expiring in April too, I submitted my biometrics on 25th Feb. There isn’t anywhere we can track the progress of application. So frustrating.

ILR BRP Card Renewal(After 10 years)

Wanted to know if anyone has applied for ILR BRP card renewal, which expires 10 years from date of issue, and how long does it take to arrive once the biometrics are submitted. Yes, I haven’t taken the British citizenship even though I have had ILR for 10 years. I made an online application for a ne...

Thanks Feigoronin for your response but I've since been reading other posts in this forum regarding similar situations. The success stories seem to indicate, the over 18 dependants used SET(O) form to apply separately but ticked the 'other purposes' box in Section 3.b (pg 9). Both the parent and th...

kkloon, No such documents are needed for dependants. Just cohab docs. My case is somewhat similar. I have 2 dependant children who are now above 18, so applying separately -SET(O). They were under 18 when we first came to the UK. They are both in Uni but work part time and are still living with me ...

Hi Ameets123, Thanks for starting this thread. I wanted to start one myself. My case is also similar. I have spent 1 yr (WP) and 4 Yrs (Tier 1 General). I have total of 187 days absences outside the country in last 5 yrs. On WP absences - 10 days On Tier 1 absences - 177 days Out of these 177 days,...

Thanks Feigoronin for your response. The reason I didnt apply for my wife together with mine was due to the following reason which I missed to mention in my previous post. Hello, I have the document a few times now. I think I understand I was wrong about the absence limits. It is 180 days in each of the 5 x 12 month periods. The document is not clear to me on the following, but I am presuming from the comments above that the category you are applying under determines...

Re: FLR M for spouse

If you ask for her passport back, will she have a valid (non-expired) visa to remain in UK? I guess not. Even if she does, what benefit do you see in doing so? Home office has anyways deducted fee for FLR(M), which they won't refund. So you can apply for her ILR once you get her FLR(M). You could h...

Hi and thanks for replying. I have read that document and I can see how it lays out the absences for a straightforward case where you spent all 5 years under a single visa type. But I cannot find anything about how to treat part time on work permits and part time on Tier 1. I understand that the ch...
