Hi folks,

Just wondering if one can apply for a surrender certificate by simply submitting the Indian passport and the naturalisation certificate while the British passport has only been applied for?

Thanks

YOU CAN SUBMIT BY POST

You can submit by post and I can confirm this. We have also had luck by submitting on the valid passports and not the cancelled ones. We got our certificates within 2 weeks, but that was somewhere in December 2009. Don't know about the current situation.

Should I send my payslips, p60s and bank statements?

Hi, I am applying for naturalisation soon and was just going through the document check list at the end of the AN form. I am surprised to see that BAUK do not want to see my pay slips, p60s or bank statements unless I am from Switzerland or EEA. Infact, when I compiled the whole list, I'm only sendi...

Hi Jinu,

Good news. I called the number on page number 42 and left a voice message. The HCI actually called me back within 2 hours and said that they will dispatch my passports the same day. They did so and today we have got our passports back.

Try the number and leave the voice message.

Good luck

OCI: 9 WEEKS AND NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

I've got serious doubts about HCI London now. My OCI app was received by HCI on 13th January 2010 and I have not yet received my acknowledgement. Can anyone please let me know if you are in a similar situation or have similar dates with different situations?

I surrendered only the current passports for our family and our surrender certificate came back within 10 working days. So it is possible to leave out your cancelled passports. The question is, whether they will come back to us and ask for the cancelled passports upon the OCI application.

NCS do not take applications unless you are totally eligible. the discretion rule of the ukba does not apply to ncs. I've tried launching my application 3 months prior using the discretion and was turned down by the ncs. they then gave me the correct date when I was absolutely elgible.

you cannot apply until 5 clear years of the court fine. you have infact been convicted of driving without insurance. i've had the same thing only that it is expiring in a couple of months. i've tried applying and was turned down. so this information is from first hand experience.

Refund of FLR fees in accordance with JR

I refer to the following link: http://www.rlegal.com/HSMPForumLtdjudicialreview.html I understand that if any HSMP migrant applied for an FLR after 4 years, then that person is eligible for a full refund of the fees that had been paid for the FLR application. Elsewhere, there are also hints that app...
