Re: Unsuccessful applications

Hi all, I haven't got yet my application answer but I realised 3 weeks ago that I had a forgotten debt in DWP of £2.800 which I repaid in full on the same day. Do I have to do anything further about this? Do you believe this will affect my application? There have been 83 days since the biometrics. ...

Re: Unsuccessful applications

Thank you very much for your valuable comment. Yes, I did everything you mentioned. I underwent alcohol treatment and have a certificate to prove it. I submitted a very strong cover letter with my second application. But I think I applied too early. They said that they rejected my first application ...

Re: Unsuccessful applications

Hi all. My second application was rejected. I received my ILR on 11/01/2024 and applied for citizenship on 11/01/2025. However, on 01/08/2024, I was arrested at the airport for being drunk and causing a disturbance. The next day, I appeared in court. Manchester Magistrates Court found me guilty of ...

Re: Unsuccessful applications

I think as you decided to go ahead with a PAPL let's see what they say in 3 months. If the answer is negative you may have to apply again and build a stronger case. Hey guys, The PAPL made them reopen the case, but after 3 months of deliberations, they decided to stick with the initial decision to ...

If reconsideration applications are unsuccessful, does the applicant get any sort of refund? Just like with the initial application ...

Hi all

Anyone know how much reconsideration solicitors fee cost? Mine is asking more than £500 to submit It . Thanks
Mine asked for £200 plus VAT, maybe its because they handled the initial application as well.

Re: Citizenship with conviction

You submitted your application so all you can do is wait and see. Do report back on the forum about your outcome. I got a response last week and it was a refusal, but the weird thing is the reason they stated was not the presence of the conviction but they said I was refused because I did not ...

Re: Naturalization Refused on Good Character

Thanks for your reply. You are right seems like they are rejecting by default most of these criminal conviction applications. You are not silly to not disclose criminal conviction in the application form and get banned for future applications, In your case it is proper mistake also. I hope we all ...

Re: Application has been rejected

Has anyone who got refused put in for reconsideration yet?

Has anyone got any idea how long the reconsideration process takes on average?

Saw a couple of articles where some people mentioned waiting over a year for a response.

Re: Naturalization Refused on Good Character

I would suggest you seek an immigration lawyer's opinion on the matter, but from what I have read so far, a review of the decision would be the route I'd go. Because the case worker clearly stated the good character policy that isn't relevant to your situation. Your sentence is below 12 months ...

Application with convictions - New GOOD CHARACTER requirements

I put in my application and did my biometrics 5 months ago and I am still awaiting a decision but my situation is not straightforward.
