And how does someone with presettled status stop being a uk resident? Is there paperwork for that?

The taxes for earnings from abroad was exactly why i was wondering, when is one considered a UK resident.
Is it anyone with presettled status?
What kind of paperwork does one need to do to become/stop being a resident?

So do i understand it correctly, that if i don't work (and have never worked) in UK, i will definitely not get a suprise bill just for having the presettled status?

What does pre-settled status mean?

Hi, I was granted a presettled status while outside UK and in the end i never moved there. I was wondering what does the presettled status mean? Does it simply give me the right to live in UK, or am i automatically considered a UK resident? And if i am considered a UK resident, could i be charged so...
