Re: British Passport application processing timelines (only)

Hi Bdb303, the interview letter arrived separately with First Class Mail and it is dated on 21st Mar. Around 10am the postman came with Special Delivery with all support documents. I suppose they sent them separately as at least the SD should be sent out yesterday to arrive today. Do not worry, bas...

Re: November 2013 - Naturalization Application Timeline

My wife is from one of these high risk countries. Time to approval was 12 weeks, which I think is fairly standard for late November applicants.

Re: Naturalisation application processing timelines (only)

Thanks Mate, I did as well, so I'm hopeful I should get mine tomorrow. Any idea when your delivery became visible on Royal mail trace & track site?
Just last night. I also checked during the day, so I'm pretty sure they don't get put into the Royal Mail system until after office hours.

One more question. We will be applying for British citizenship without my wife having obtained EEA4 confirmation of PR. We have a straightforward case as I have been working for the entire 6 year period so can easily prove that I have exercised treaty rights. In that case, would it be important to e...

Cool, thanks for the reply. Intuitively you would think that lawful residence would require you to show bills etc. that you've been living in the UK. It doesn't make sense to me that they can see that from a passport, when you've mostly not been stamped going in and out of the country.

Lawful residence requirment - evidence?

Just a few questions about the lawful residence requirement and evidence needed for section 3. My wife is a family member of an EEA national (myself) . So she has been coming in and out of the UK without getting stamped since she received her residence permit. So that would probably mean that she ha...

Questions 2.4 and 2.5 - EEA family member without EEA4

I've been searching for quite a while now but I've still not found the definitive guide to filling out questions 2.4 and 2.5 - so any help is appreciated. My wife is a non-EEA family member and will be applying without having obtained a EEA4 visa. So obviously we need to prove that she has obtained ...

No I didn't call them, but did send them a reminder email at the end of October that the six months deadline was nearing. Maybe this spurred them into locating the passport and finally sending it out.

Well, well, well.... All our documents appear to have been returned, including her old Spanish RC which I was concerned they would hold onto; it serves as her Schengen visa so means we don't have to pfaff around with European embassies and consulates until 2014. You won't need a Schengen visa to en...

Visa free travel to Schengen with EEA4?

HI, does anyone know if it's possible to travel to the Schengen area countries without a visa if you have a EEA4 permit in your passport? I'm asking because this permit does not actually state that the holder is a spouse/family member of the EEA national? My non-EEA wife's EEA2 is due to run out and...

Easyjet... whenever I travel with my non-EU wife (who has an EEA2) they always have to call for confirmation that she can enter the Schengen area before we are allowed to board the plane. Holland should be removed from that list. Although the Dutch certainly discriminate against their own nationals when they are living in the Netherlands, 2004/38/EC rights is valid for Dutch citizens who have exercised their treaty rights (i.e. are living and or working abroad in another EU country).
