hi botvot,
i would suggest to follow wat thsths says.I regret for not applying earlier
as soon as i entered UK. So the best option is to keep the passport and apply for EEA2.

i did a bit of research and found that there is no passport control between uk and isle of man, but i am not very sure about it,i expect someone who had such an experience would help me or the seniors in the board may give their opinion.

Yes it is correct in theory bcoz most of the emplyers are not familiar with the immigration laws , i have a letter from home office that i have applied for a residence card but it is not helping really bcoz the employers are not really comfortable with that as my visa says it is valid only till 17th...

But i already sent my passport and it had been with them almost for 3 1/2 months.my wife is on continuous employment and i am just doing my unpaid training [ie] i havent got my NI number , will this affect the application if i mention while updating in the fifth month.

Thanks guys,
still have a ?, do they take six months to decide an application bcoz without a passport it is difficult for me to find a job as most of my applications are online and it is not really possible to explain my position, i presume that i need to wait for the passport to get a job.
