Self assessment is a personal issue, an accountant not informing you is not the accountants fault. I'd say for £150/200 pa you're getting one seriously crap accountant, mine costs £1500 pa and he tells me everything, leaves no doubt as to my obligations, and checks I'm checking him since ultimately...

While I agree finding a sponsor is a big hurdle, I will not rule it out completely, I am aware of 1 person who has done this successfully. He had the right skills and about 10 years of experience, and found a contract within 2 months of arriving in the UK. Most importantly, his brother was already ...

Re: Re:

Although the form requests this, I have not come across a case where evidence was required when the absences were <180 per 12 month period and they met all the other requirements. Hi Amber, is this still the case based on recent experiences? My application was done end of June and all was fine with...

Re: payslips for Set(O) application

Just one more question - With electronic payslips, if I print them out on company letterhead, would it be enough if the HR manager signs it, or would I need to have it signed by a more senior official? I just read the below guidance from UKBA and it's confusing: "If the payslip is not on headed pap...

I have just put my home country in the first column and "Family" in the second column when I did my application (set(O)). Overlooked the details in the question, but application was successful. I don't think you need to put your property in there. But then it doesn't matter whether you put your prop...

If the main Tier1 applicant get ILR so he/she no more Tier 1 applicant so their dependenta needs to change their visa to ILR or FLR (M) which ever applies. They can't stay on their original tier 1 dependent visa.plus they can't travel with tier 1 dependent visa. Not true. Please see the link. http:...

The form is SET (O) form. It mentions cohabitation but doesn't specify for every address or just in general over 2 years. Any advice? Yes, it was not mentioned explicitly. But since you lived in 4 addresses, I would put cohabitation proofs in all four addresses. Even if you dont have a letter in bo...
