As per my understanding processing time should be impacted by 1. Complexity of the documents provided and 2. Hope that should not be a problem, in my case apart from my application and degree certificate (which have full name written on it) all other documents like payslips, bank statements had Initials of my first name and middle name. Another option could be cheque payment, which would save few quids from your pocket (appx £27 - postal order charges)... I would imagine maintenance funds minimum balance has to be maintained over the specified period (last 3 months) without any dip. As we are supposed to submit the bank statements, ideally there should not be days where balance is shown less than minimum required balance.

I think it should not be a problem as what HO requires is to show that sufficient amount is maintained for last 3 months, so if a/c is more than 3 months old, and required amount is maintained for last 3 months (from the date of application), it should be fine with them,

I really doubt about the processing date...as I received my reference number PB3*** in 2 days and the date on letter was the very next date I send my application on.....As I paid by cheque, it got cleared 3-4 days later...surprisingly I received the same letter again from HO but the reference number...

Hi, For maintenance funds proof, Is it necessary to send bank statements till the date of application??? My UK bank statements are normally 16th to 15th each month. I sent my application on 23rd July and my latest bank statement was showing transactions till 15th July....this way there is a gap of 7...
