Re: Relationship evidence documents for extension of spouse

Thank you so much for your replies. My wife has letters from NHS addressing to her during her study in another city. I have train tickets booking confirmations I bought during the year to visit her. After her graduation, I had job offer from different country so I went to take the job and she moved ...

Relationship evidence documents for extension of spouse visa

Hello My wife is due to extend her spouse visa (FLR(M)). I noticed the form requires documents as evidence of relationship. But we stayed separately for a year because she was studying and I was working in different cities. Also we were away from UK for a year and just came back to the UK. We cannot...

Leave UK while application is still in process

Can I leave the UK while my application is still in process? I want to leave the country for a while and come back when the approval letter has arrived. Is there any problems with this? I know a few people say that ILR will become invalid as soon as an application is approved. Would I still be able ...

Filling in absence from UK on NA form

After submitting the form, I realised that I filled in over 5 years of absences on the form. I should have listed absences from 2008. However, I listed absences from 2007, which is the last 6 years. But the total absences do not exceed the limit.
Would this be a problem?

Thanks

Re: Good character requirement and convictions

The conviction was in Jan 2009. It went to court and got a fine of £100 for prostitution. Would the application be successful if apply now? Thanks The conviction will not generate an automatic refusal as 3 years has passed. It is likely that the applicant would be successful, providing no other con...

Re: Good character requirement and convictions

If a person has a spent conviction, does it need to be declared? According to the form, both spent and unspent convictions must be declared. However, the UKBA website says spent convictions do not need to be declared. I am very confused. Also based on the new rule, if a conviction is not yet spent,...

Re: Referees

application not accepted when applying in person

Hi all thanks for all the information. Here is my another query. I am applying for ILR in person. I started my work permit Visa in October 2004. However, I lost my passport in 2005. Then I re-applied the Visa in May 2005. So the Visa on the passport now shows valid from May 2005. I have been told th...

I was for kerb crawling.
I contacted a law consultant. He told I did not have to put the fact in the form as the HO would not check if I apply in person.
Is that true?
Thanks

Criminal history

Hi,
I have some questions to ask. I am applying for ILR. I got caught by police a year ago. I plead guilty and the court sent me fine penalty but I did not appear in court. So on the form personal history section, should I say Yes or No?

Thanks

When does ILR qualifying period start

I got work permit in September 2004. But my student visa was still valid. I then extended my visa in November with the work permit.
Should the qualifying period start in September or November?

Thanks

I have a friend who has passed the qualified period 5 years. But he has got a criminal record against him which happened 1 year ago.
Would his infinite leave to remain application be refused? Please give any advice. Thanks
