An update:
I just received my BRP card today. I haven't received my passport and the documents, but I suppose they should be arriving separately.
I think it was just waiting for the Olympics to end.

Thanks longshift,

Doesn't this beat the whole purpose of paying a £300 premium for an appointment, and still ending up as a postal application.

It'll be a month attending the appointment in next 4 days. The patience is now running out.

I know friends who have moved from Tier 2 to Tier 1 within UK. What i'm not sure of is what is the rule for dependant applications.
