Economics You can get your Phd in the economics field. Only a few universities offer studies in Phds. You will probably have to write a thesis paper which involves a lot of work and research. According to my information, you don't just 'study' for a Phd. It involve oral tests, thesis projects, writ...

It's such a bizarre sight here in London. There’s thousands of people just standing in the street, milling around and bumping into walls because they have no jobs to go to. They get on the tube, which is now automated because the tube drivers got fired, and just go in circles then go home to thei...

Will a few hours in UK count towards the ILR 28 day limit?

Within 28 days of my visa start date I will be going to the USA via London. I am only going to be in London for about 4-6 hours. My plan is t...

Re: Impact of H1B Refusal on Tier 1 Process

You have to dislose the information. I was rejected for a B1 visa to the US, as I did not have sufficient ties in the country of application. Since then I was granted various other American visas. I included a letter stating the circumstances of my refusal, as well as a copy of the letter of refusal...

I am sorry to hear about your case. Immigration rules are there for a reason, and if somebody overstay once, they will most probably do it again - therefore they will likely refuse her entry. I do not think that they were hard on her - al they did was refuse her entry - not because they are being un...

Hey Kunmun23, Sorry, but I do not think that they will accept it as maintenance. You should keep it in cash, and if you show them those statements, it will just show how much you still owe in your home country. I really do think that they will reject your application. That's my 2 cents. Good luck.

The dynamics, culture, work environment are very different from India (I presume you are from). But the logics of getting a job is no different from India. The economic crisis may give a beating on the job market, but not a cause for worry. Jobs are still there - may be not as quick as in the normal...
