application process - in duplicate - cv required ?

Hi,

Your chances will depend on how well you convince the case officer in the HO about your application. I suggest you first do a self assessment for yourself. See how many points you get and then carry on from there.

EC Still required??

Hi, Now the HO directly issues a entry clearance visa instead of a letter. This visa will have all the relevant details on it (like Tier 1, etc). Once you get this visa, it is equivalent to travel permit. The VFS officer here in mumbai said that I do not require any letter. With this entry clearance ...

Timeline to find employment in UK

Hi,

I was just wondering whether there is a fixed timeline (eg. 12 months) within which I need to find proper employment in the UK and show that I am self reliant. I know that HSMP had a clause like this, but does Tier 1 visas also have a stipulation along the same lines???

Entry time into the UK

Hi,

For the old HSMP system it was 6 months for entry and they you need to show employment and stability within the first 12 months. Only then could you apply for extension of HSMP visa.
But am not sure if the same rules apply for Tier 1 General migrant visa also.

Hi,

There was a spelling mistake in the name of my university also on the self assessment tool. But when filling in my form and supplying the supporting documents, I gave the correct name. All went well and I was granted a visa last week.

So I dont think that it should be a problem for you either.
