Wife of British Citizen - Visa options

My wife acquired an FLR(M) visa on the back of my ILR two years ago. I have now got British Citizenship. What are her options, is it only another FLR(M), or are there any other options now that I am a Citizen? Thanks

Re: Applying for OCI - final list of documents - Please help

[quote="Ocihopeful2017" ]The VFS website mentions a letter from the employer with job description as a mandatory document. Is it really needed? Has anyone been asked for it? Re: OCI application documents

Was at VFS on Goswell Road today with the above documents and was asked to go back. Was told I needed an employer's letter/ letter from accountant if self-employed.

FYI for others who may be applying for an OCI card at this VFS centre.

Re: Travelling for 1 mth after NCS Naturalisation applicatio

Just to confirm that I did miss the window with the first letter and "took the risk" of getting biometrics done only on the second letter. There was no significant delay or issues because of this. I got my citizenship approved within 8 weeks after the biometrics.

Travelling for 1 mth after NCS Naturalisation application

I've just applied via the NCS today, and only realised after reading their receipt that there is a call for Biometrics that will happen in the next few weeks. But I'm due to be away for a period of 4 weeks. My partner will be able to check/open my post and let me know - so that's not a problem. Howe...

Re: Returning Resident - Immigration Rule 20 and 2 year cloc

The number of people on the planet who truly might be considered 'settled' simultaneously in two countries has got to be vanishinigly small when compared with the number of immigrants overall. I doubt the UKBA is going to feel any pressure on this topic for a long long time, if ever. Maybe so but a...

Re: Returning Resident - Immigration Rule 20 and 2 year cloc

Was at Stansted returning from holiday yesterday. At Passport Control the officer had a trainee with him. The conversation was interesting so thought I would share it here. Officer (to me): How did you become eligible for your ILR sir? Me: 5 years on a Tier-1. Officer (to me): And how long have you ...

Re: Returning Resident - Immigration Rule 20 and 2 year cloc

It does not, this is incorrect information. Visiting the UK for short periods does not maintain the status of ILR. The rule is clear, if you have not live (been settled) in the UK for 2 years, ILR is lost. A key word is to remember that ILR = settled in the UK. A visitor is NOT settled in the UK. R...

Re: Returning Resident - Immigration Rule 20 and 2 year cloc

I will be in a similar situation soon. Can't address your other questions due to my lack of experience but definitely the clock resets after every visit back to the UK. Note that the "clock" is simply informally verified by the officer at the border (immigration at Heathrow), when he asks you, "HOw ...

Re: Irrelevant questions and landing card faced by ILR holde

I'm glad I found this thread. I have just got my UK ILR, and like ouflak1 and a couple of other members who've posted here I have no intention of giving up my home country's citizenship, but still hope to be able to freely enter and stay in the UK from now on, because, after all, I have been granted...

FLR(M)-Ltd Co-Spouses not living together-SUCCESS PEO Croydo

This is indeed the company's financial year, not the april-april tax year. Just had this verified at our FLR(M) PEO appt in Croydon today

This seemed to suffice, no questions asked about it (it wa...
