Applying within 3 months of when you graduate is alright as it gives you time to get your certificate issued and also meet the financial requirement as well. You can always switch back to student visa but you can get the psw only once. I hope that helps.

If your case is straightfwd and you meet all the points then you should get it the same day, but any complications might make it last much longer. Good Luck.

They can speed up the post appeal implementation process but not if a decision has not been made on your visa. My MP helped me with my post appeal and it was completed not too long after I got in contact with her.

There is no other country that offers a faster turnaround than the UK. I do hope you guys understand that and other countries don't even offer the opportunity for an appeal like the UK does, I do understand the service is poor but this wasn't the case some 2 to 3 years back; Most of the strict rules...

Hi All I will be really grateful if someone could help me out. I had applied for extension of PSW first on 12 March 2009. The application came back as incomplete on 2 April 2009. I returned it along with the same documents to the Home Office. I forgot to attach the bank statement for March 2009. An...

That's quite a straight fwd case but make sure you bring a statement which shows clearly the dates they were disputing. Don't fret, you'll be ok. They have quite a few incompetent people working at the HO.

The error was yours, they simply complied with your request to return your passport. If you knew that you were travelling in July and knew the normally take 14 days to reply, why didn't you do this closer to that time. You shot yourself in the foot and I don't think your MP or lawyer can get around ...

My appeal decision was 12 March and I'm still waiting for HO to ask me for my passport. I had called them earlier and was told it would be end of April but it's almost end May now. Why don't you just go home and apply? If you have family back home who has got over £2800 in their account, just make them add you as joint account holder. The appeal process is just too long and stressful, if I knew it would take so long to get my visa....I would have just gone back home and reapp...

Hello there, The PSW visa has become a real nightmare for me. I don't satisfy all the requirements to apply from inside the country. I didn't keep £800 in my account for about 2 weeks. Now I am sure the application for the PSW visa will be rejected. However, I have decided to go home and apply fro...
