Hi Andy, we got back last October. Apply for her national insurance number as when you receive the letter, it's easy to open a bank account which then starts the ball rolling... Good luck mate!

Starting from the beginning when she was illegal, it took about a year and a half....

Starting from when she made the application for the permit... it took about 3 weeks to receive it, bearing in mind Italy is literally "shut down" over August, so that might have been a factor for the delay.
