Hi, IMO, you are not self employed. You are only employed as a director of your limited company. The requirements for visitor visa to the UK for your parents will be the same as for any other 'employed' person. Your pay may be less (not that it has any impact on the application), but if you were to ...

Hi f2k, Thanks for your post. Due to the circumstances we were in last year, my ILR and my wife's Tier 1 extensions were applied for at the same time. So she has another 2 years to go before she qualifies for ILR. And assuming the rules dont change by then, another year to qualify for naturalisation...

Hi gypsum,
List of absences is needed only for ILR application and not for Tier 1(G) extensions.

And if you are away on business, it doesnt matter for ILR application either if you can get a letter from the employer for the dates u were away on business.

Hope this helps.
Cheers,
A

Hi Max, Sorry to say this, but I think your solicitor may be taking you for a ride. As you correctly said, the HO would have sent a response letter to your solicitor as soon as they received your application. As a first step, I would ask the solicitor a copy of that letter which will also have your ...

Hi max,
Have you tried calling the HO and asking them for the status of your application? It seems unusual for them to take that long. Try sending them an urgent treatment fax.

Cheers.

Hi aniluk, If you have a proof of postage, thats the best way to know your application date. Else, if you had used your credut card, debit card or cheque on your bank account, then looking back at those dates will give you an idea. However if none of the above are avialable, you can request for a SA...

Hi Ashwath,
In my knowledge, you will have to apply for a further leave to remain - FLR under Tier 1(G) which you may receive for another 2 years under Tier 1(G) which will take you to your ILR qualification period.

Seniors like PaulP can shed more light on this.

Hi lboro,
Thank you.
This particular instance that you have quoted - I had a gap of 28 days between the visa stamping date and previous visa expiry date. However since the FLR application was sent before my visa expired, this is not considered as a GAP.

Hi Munisa,
My employer's letter was dated 1 month prior to my PEO appointment. But it didnt matter as they did not ask for it.

I would suggest you take a letter when your employer is providing it, rather than not have it at all.

Hope this helps.

Hi netacct, I am not sure what your situation is, but it seems highly unlikely that HO will refuse ILR on the basis of not having P60s or payslips for all 5 years on HSMP. Perhaps seniors could shed more light on this. If you are currently on HSMP, not utilising public funds and are able to support ...

Hi global gypsy, You will need proof of economic activity for the whole period you were on HSMP. So if you were on HSMP for the last 5 years, then ensure you carry payslips / bank statements for the remaining 2 years. I carried 60 payslips and 60 bank statements - just in case. Wish you all the best...
