ILR at present is at it implies...Indefinate. However, as you've been advised, if you were to leave the UK for more than 2 years, you'd lose your ILR. At present, with ILR there is no obligation to apply for British Citizenship. However, when Probationary Citizenship replaces ILR in July 2011 (inte...

I would count the days until you expect the consulate to have the judgement, then write (via email if you can) with a scan/copy of the judgement and request they provide you with the visa without delay and give them a reason why you need it quickly. you'll probably have to chase Thanks GinoT for th...

wait times

The judge will only confirm in writing your win which you’ll get from him in a week or so after the tribunal. The HO have 14 days to appeal after you receive this letter I think, after which the judgement is sent to the consulate (give it another week to get there). Only then can you request that...

Appeal WON, How long for Visa issue?

After 10 long months of submitting papers and waiting for the outcome of a recent appeal we have finally been given the dtermination which finds the decision unlawful and against immigration law, therefore its been granted by the immigration judge. :D My question is how long does it normally take fr...

Re: Just a thought

Hello again, Does anyone think an effort to see the Uk Ambassador at one of the embassy's here in UAE would help, or would it be totally pointless? Thanks :) Hi! I Don't think UK ambassador would be of much help and it would be very hard for you to get in touch with. The Best possible way is to get...

Ok guys gonna call it time on this one.. Got the accpeptance letter from the AIT today, saying that its going through the appeal system, last week was questionable as it had to go to a duty judge to see if we had a case for appeal, it looks like we do otherwise they would have not taken it through t...

Illegitimate

Joe 777 and others Right to put this into context firstly. The Child was born without the parents being married although there is a big stigma associated with this in PHP, so the birth certificate had the Fathers name put on to it although not married! The BC then went to the high courts in PHP to h...

Thanks John etc for the information. Well its worth a try i suppose its a way to get around the red tape. I see

My wife and i are both British does this make a difference? Indeed it does! It means that you and your wife living in the UK are not exercising EU Treaty Rights. stevec, dealing with your second question about EEA Family Permit, has your wife been exercising EU Treaty Rights in another EU or EEA country? If yes, please give details. If no, then there is no possibility of your wife, a British Citizen, getting an EEA Family Permit for her daughter. As regards...
