Re: Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI)

Sumeet,
I applied for my daughter today and the only document they took was her birth certificate. All other documents including her passport are returned to you, they only keep the copies. My next post will be on fees charged and what I submitted.

Hello,

I called the visa issuing body for Spain visas - BLS Spain Application Centre London - and they confirmed that provided I have valid Shengen visa, I'll be allowed into Spain. I'll be travelling at the end of August and will update post after travel.

Re: Spouse ILR SetM 5 year route - When to apply

CR001, thanks for the reply. Spouse was granted visa initially 28 June 2013 to 28 March 2016. She entered into the UK on 13 July 2013. We had to extend her visa which is valid as follows: 13 June 2018 to 17 Dec 2018. Therefore, taking her entry into UK on 13 June 2013 + 5 years = 12 June 2018 and wh...

Paul, You have a very VALID point: You've said that your mother was a British Overseas citizen before she became a British citizen. If this is the case, then she did not have the right of abode in UK when you were born, and so wouldn't have been able to transmit the right of abode to you, even if sh...
