The following are the queries... 1. Does she has to get a new ILR visa stamping with her new surname? 2. If yes, does she...

naturlisation certificate - last step in citizenship

Hello All, just wanted to double check, having a naturalisation certificate means one has become a british citizen. You don't need british passport to prove it! (hypothetically, if you don't ever travel outside UK )

cheers

Re: Travel To India With ILR & Citizenship Certificate

Please read the following from "http://in.vfsglobal.co.uk/surenderind_pass.html". The moment you receive Citizenship certificate from UK, you cease to exist as Indian citizen (for legal purposes). So, I believe you cannot travel to India on indian passport. Experts please correct me if I'm wrong. Th...

Parking ticket - will it affect naturalisation application?

Hello All, I had a letter from a parking management company at a Tesco store (not council or public parking) stating that I didn’t make a payment for parking. They have said in the letter that they will overlook once. But, I had made the payment (although I don’t have the receipt now), and I’m plann...

Re: Brit/Aussie Child Re-entering UK on Australian Passport?

Hello, As per VISA rules, Australian citizens are allowed to enter UK without VISA for 6 months for general purposes (Non-employment). SO, this explains why there was no question asked while entering UK (with you and yours husband holding British passport). But, now when you go for holiday and while...

Re: February 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

In your email or speak to HO, have mentioned that as per the new guidance (attach the PDF), that PBS printout awarding 10 points and original degree certificate (in English) is enough to satisfy the requirement. Maybe the caseworker who's working on your case have overlooked it. There are so many pe...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Pro

Before taking B1 test , pls check if your degree is recognised in PBS calculator and also see if it allocates 10 points for english language requirement. If yes, they take a print-out and submit it along with your original degree certificate (should be in English). This would suffice and save money ...
