Hi Guys,

I am sorry to have confused a few by writing in the first post that I said to the Immigration officer that I am "Self Employed". It was a typo and I actually said I am "Employed".

Dependents of HSMP cannot apply for Tier1 or any sort of VISA being in UK. I think your wife would need to go back to India and apply a fresh Tier 1 Although I am not sure if her earnings (Being a dependent on HSMP) would be considered to fulfil the criteria.

I suggest you either ask your wife to travel to UK before applying for Tier1 or once you apply for Tier1 you would need to apply for Tier1 dependent for your wife in India and get the entry clearence before travelling back to UK.
