It doesn't matter if u put the travel a few days beyond 3 months. What they will do is just give u the travel date only 3 months after the date of approval. I had done the same and it had no effect on my application.I got the travel date exactly 3 months after my application.

Got my tier1 approval within 15 days

Hi,
I applied on 19th Feb 2009 from Mumbai. My approval was processed by 4th of March and my passport and other documents were delivered to me on 5th March 2009. I think it should not take more than a month unless there is a discrepancy.
