hi guys, I've got my ILR recently, and I am now eligible to claim the child benefit (£20/wk) and child tax credit (£10.50/wk).

Will claiming these affect my naturalisation in March 2010?

it's ILR under JR.

It takes such a long time (more than 1 month). So I'm thinking to pay extra money for in-person via solicitor.

They really don't want to check for you. I phoned earlier too to ask why my fees haven't been deducted, but the customer rep said they can't access payment or progress of my application (until the 14 weeks). I am not sure that guy check anything on the system if he could not see the status of your application. sorry to hear that, I've thought all the cases sent in May were dealt with. As I can see several cases sent later than me got approval, that's why I'm moaning here. :(
