Re: Travelling to India Urgent advise please

You can apply for e-visa and travel on your British passport. e-visa gets issued within 48 hours. You just need to print it before travelling.

you have 3 months period to surrender your Indian passport and no penalties if it isn't used. i.e. if you travel using an e-visa.

Not sure about any separate application. I had used the same online application for my child and had no issues in getting his OCI processed.

Assuming your husband was Indian citizen and have now surrendered his Indian passport. He can upload a copy of Cancelled Indian passport. I had done the same with no problems.

Re: Travelling to India after naturalisation

You should travel to India on e-Visa or Tourist Visa and then can surrender your Indian Passport in India itself. I have done this and there are no issues. It was actually cheaper to do (surrender of passport costs Rs. 5000 in India) However, I then traveled back and applied for OCI in UK. Looking a...

Re: Travelling to India, on eVisa without surrender certificate

I have traveled to India on e-visa on UK passport, while still retaining my Indian passport as I didn't have time to surrender it. No Issues faced whatsoever. As far as you are not using your Indian passport - No issues.

Ideally I would not remove actual pages from my application between section 1 to section 7.
In case some questions are NA for you and you remove them, how will UKBA know whether the sections were 'NA' or are 'missing' from application form.

For D)
The answer should still be 'Yes' as you did get a VISA before entering the UK and give the details of the 'Work Permit' in D2, D3 & D4.
The answer would be 'No' in case of a child born in UK or if someone entered UK without a valid VISA.

Hope this helps.

1. I dont think there should be problem if you apply 2 months in advance. I personally applied little more than 2 months in advance for my extension and there wasn't any issues. 2. I suggest that you also get a letter from the bank. Edit: please check this thread indicating an increase in maintenanc...
