EEA Citizen Naturalisation, but not working last year

Hi. I am a South African who is now a dual British/South African Citizen for the last four months. My wife is a Hungarian national. We have been married for almost 9 years. When my wife first came to the UK, she registered on the worker registration scheme. She has worked in the UK from 2004 right u...

Re: Rent with cats

Yeah I'm hoping that will be the case. In fact the flat I'm living in the UK has that same clause... My previous place had no issues whatsoever. At the current place my landlord had to come check something on the gas so I took the cats for a little drive and we removed all traces of cat toys. In the...

Re: Rent with cats

That's seems to be the general consensus. MY big concern is what can the landlord do if they find out? I'm not sure the laws in Ireland. Both of my cats are fully house trained and well behaved. I'm more than happy to pay for any damage they might do if that happens.

Rent with cats

Hi all. My wife and I are planning to move to Ireland as I've accepted a job offer in Dublin. We have been checking out the local rent sites (rent.ie, daft.ie) to find a place to live. Most places seem to be furnished and also most seem to be no pets. Is this prevalent in Ireland? I've never had any...

Hi. Thanks for the reply. I did think I was able to apply in April 2011, but I've also heard I had to wait for my EEA2 residence to near expire first. Is that wrong though? I hope so, that means I can apply for EEA4 PR in April. I can't apply earlier, I only get my new passport in March/April anyway...

Do I need to wait for EEA2 to expire before EEA4?

Hi all. I'm South African and my wife is Hungarian. I've been in the UK since 2004. I was originally on a working holiday visa. My wife and I married in April 2006. I am currently on the EEA2 visa. Is there any more relevant info you'd like to disclose? In detail pls all the info with dates and so on. I actually looked into it and found that she did register on the registration scheme before we got our COa, so that was before the marriage. So no problems there. What's the process of moving a ...

Hi there. Thanks. We can prove she has been working. There is one snag though, she only registered on the registration scheme when we applied for the EEA1/2 - Before that she was working, but not registered as she didn't know and neither did her employer. Once we found out she immediately registered...

EEA4 - Some time to go but info would still be good

Hi all. I'm a South African with a Hungarian Wife. Currently I'm on EEA2 which expires in June 2012. My current passport expires December 2010 though. It'll take me 4 months to get my new passport. After that what's the process and turnaround time for getting my visa transferred? I know I can just u...

What next after EEA2?

Hi there. I'm a South African citizen who has lived in the UK for almost 5 years now. I originally came here in August 2004 on a 2 year working holiday visa. I met my future wife at my first place of work and we got married in April 2006. My wife is Hungarian and originally was working without first...
