Actually I am very surprised to hear that in person applications can also take up to 14 weeks! It can be quicker to leave the country and make an application in our own countries. You should be able to apply for the premium service. However based on the experiences discussed in this forum the majority are not decided on the same day but within about 4 weeks. You should also consider that it is now near the Christmas and if it is not decided on the same day it may take longer....
