Train Penalty Fare Notice

I got a penalty charge notice / fare of travelling without a train ticket. It was paid on the spot.

Does this affect my naturalisation application? Is this considered along with the driving FPNs? Or will this mean that I will not be able to apply in the next 3 years?

I spoke to the NCS service at the council again. She confirmed that all i need is my degree certificate in English and my LiUK test original Is this because the UKBA can check by themselves if the degree has been taught in English? Did anyone who emailed UKBA for clarification on the English langua...

Iqhamid, sorry to hear that. Did you check in the UKBA points calculator? It seems to consider an Engineering Bachelors degree from UET Pakistan equivalent to a UK Bachelor degree. As per the Tier 1 and Tier 2 guidance forms, the data in the points calculator is from the NARIC database. I wonder why...

Thanks HSMPLOCHA NOTE: Naric also certifies if the English level meets cefr c1 level which they could not confirm in my wife's bachelor degree and hence they did mention that the degree does not meet c1 level. This is of little imp as ho is interested in medium of instruction. Out of interest.. Is y...

According to the Tier 1 and Tier 2 guidance, you satisfy the English language requirement if the points calculator gives you the points, which they have specifically said is based on NARIC. It wonder why that's not applicable in the case of naturalisation. Those who have applied for the NARIC ELA, w...

Thanks for your responses.

There is a section in the 'Change in Circumstances' form where you can fill in details of changes to your passport.

Are we meant to use this to update the HO when a new passport has been issued?

New Passport, no TOC - Do I need to inform UKBA?

Hi All, I recently had my Indian Passport re-issued. My current Tier 1 visa is in my old passport. As per the UKBA site http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas-immigration/while-in-uk/transfer-visa-to-passport/ I do not have to transfer my visa to my new passport. However, do I have to inform them t...

1. I think this is only applicable to cases where the passport has already expired. 2. Since you have an ILR, you may be able to just give your UK address. When I went for my passport extension, I heard some applicants being asked if they wanted their UK or India address in their passport. The CGI B...

Kindly clarifiy if 2 photos will suffice or 4 photos are required
The website asks for 4 photos. They took only 1 photo from me but they checked all others.. probably to check that I have not given them a random photo and that it was recently taken for this specific purpose.

Permanent Address in India

Hi, My Indian passport is due to expire in another 9 months and I am planning on applying for a re-issue soon. My current passport (soon to expire) has my old (still valid) permanent address in India - my parents still own the place but they do not live there. My PAN number and electoral card are st...

Apologies... I should have been clearer. I am currently in dispute with my builder. If we are not able to settle the matter between ourselves, then this will end up in a Civil County Court. If, by any chance, I loose, then I will have a CCJ against me. Does a civil CCJ affect my eligibility for ILR?...

ILR with CCJ

Is a CCJ counted as an unspent conviction in the ILR rules?

As far as Credit History is concerned, if there is a County Court Judgement against you and if you pay the amount due within a month, this does not show up on your credit history.

Is a Civil Judgement a conviction?

I do not see much grammatical changes in post by cuberoot. I think the earlier version is better. I say we stop correcting it now and crack on it on spreading awareness about all we intend to do. I still stand by my opinion that the petition has to be short and to the point and not emotionally charged. We have to keep in mind the audience for the petition are the politically motivated people in the govt. If we get media attention too, any statement that we make here may be misinterpreted and...
