Just read some old answers I got when I asked this question previously. I see that I am to fill in the SETM, am I correct in thinking that I have to wait until I satisfy all the qualifying requirements, including the correspondence?

KOL REQ. endorsement

I have a KOL REQ endorsement on my spouse visa. I will be doing the booking tomorrow to take the KOL test. My question is, once I pass the test, do I fill in the SETM? If I do fill in the setm I won't have enough correspondence letters as I've only been here for 3 weeks and only have mail from DWP. ...

No problem, always glad to return the favour of giving information. Thanks for your good wishes.
That must have been bittersweet; great to get the spouse visa, but dissapointing that you didn't qualify for the KOL REQ endorsement.

Exactly, my husband and I were married in Jamaica in 2001, and lived there together until he left for the UK in May 2009.

KOL REQ. endorsed spouse visa

I've just received a spouse visa with a KOL REQ endorsement. I have not arrived in the UK as yet (spouse visa is only a week old); but would like to take the KOL test as soon as I arrive. What else is required for me to apply for the ILR?

Yes my visa says KOL REQ, which I understood allows me to take the test as soon as I arrive in the UK and apply for the ILR.

Hi Batley,

I'm baaaaaack..... I'm now planning for my ILR application when I get to the UK in June. I have the KOL REQ endorsement on my visa. I know I have to take the KOL test, what application form do I fill in and what documents do I supply? I went to the UKBA website but was not sure.

Thanks

Buttercup, calm down. My spouse visa was issued in four days (even though I did a priority service).

Once you submitted all the required information and meet the requirements, its not impossible.

Smile, keep your spirits up and pray.

They just introduced a priority service here, that ensures the decision in up to 4 weeks. Thank God. Good Luck!

I've only just started reading about visas, I did not realize that parents, grandparents etc. were a new addition to the dependent via category.
So there is nothing new there. Gotcha!

My husband is ready to send me everything and I need to know if he has to go back to the solicitor and get all the pages of his passport c...
