I think 2 yrs PSW start on the day they make decision, so just post it on 17th April and pay by cheque, so most likely they would make a decision no earler than 25th April. This will imply your PSW will run up to 25th April 2013 and this will be well within your 28 days before the anniversary of you...

Handed passport application form in person

Just wanted to share my experience..if you live near passport office then you can hand in your application form in person rather than posting it. The benefits are that it arrives immediately and you save money!...All the best on your applications

Is there really any law for this? I think not and this is because you can have a right of abode stamp (after becoming British) put on your foreign passport and use it to enter UK.

It can sometime takes up to two weeks (from the date they debited your card) to receive their acknowledgement letter because they use second class post, and sometime they post several days later. Dont get too excited very soon, their new proposal will be more tough than earned citizen, that's for sure. Certainly there will be no eligibility of UK citizenship just for being employed in the UK for 5yrs!

joelondon, it is not that he is lucky, the UKBA didn't have choice but to give the money back as it was their mistake in the first place..they published a document on their website with incorrect visa fees!!! Now they have corrected their mistake!

eric79, they have now uploaded the correct pdf document with correct fees. At least they haven't rejected it per say but they want you to resend it with correct visa fee!
