Very painful as we are only 6 working days short (i.e 25th October last day of submission before the new rule and our earlier date which is 5th November). Can we post our application any earlier just to circumvent this rule? Jay
Your wife will have to meet the B1 requirement.
Guys, My wife and I got ILR on 5th November 2012. Going by the new rule, what exactly are we required to present for the new KoLL rule. I'm more worried about my wife as she only passed the LIUK test and has no other English qualification. Under the old rule we are not expected to show any other pro...

Re: WP to ILR (SOC Code Help!)

hI We are in the same both. My code is 2129 (Geo-environmental engineer) and I am due ILR in early November. If i am classed as gradute, then i will meet the £23k, but if under £14.76/hr i will be short by just under £3k. I've spoken to my employer and he may be looking to increasing wage this month...

Easy Current tax code letter should be okay to prove your anticipated earnings for 2012/2013. Additional evidence to me will be pay slips, bank statements and letter from employer. Please ensure that the content of the letter includes your BIK and they taxable cash equivalent for the current year. I...
Jay09, I thought you never used BIK for your previous applications? Answer: Correct. Or did you use it when you had to appeal against the decision for your LTR in 2009? Easy Yes usually official P11D comes around june depending on when your employer files in their returns to HMRC. But you can ask the accountant to fill out one manually and make a copy for you to use in your extension. It will obviously be the same amount as to what he/she (accountant) will forward ...

Easy, Please note that i've not actually used BIK as part of any of my previous applications. In the case of Tier 1, which looks at previous eanrnings for the financial year/at the time of application, I would imagine that P11D which will detail the total cash equivalent for the car and fuel will be...

Vinaya/Barker, Barker, BIK is technically reflected on the wage slip because it is used in determining the appropriate tax code for the BIK beneficiary. As said by Vinaya, the HMRC deducts the total cash equivalent of the BIK from the tax free personal allowance (PA) and the difference is converted ...

Benefit in Kind- acceptable evidence for ILR application

Guys, Some of you may have noticed in my most recent post that I could be a bit short of the required minimum pay for my job occupation which is currently under SOC 2129. Prior to the last MAC review, my SOC was 2121 and the required minimum pay for the SOC code was within my current salary at the t...

Kumar, Yes it was moved during the last review. Howeer i cld not see any real justification as to why a job title like geoenvironmental engineer cannot be classed under civil engineering whilst petroleum engineering is considered under the same SOC code 2021. In my opinion, amongst the two occupatio...

Would it not be possible to argue that the inability of the applicant to meet the required rate was as a result of change in the SOC code by the UKBA...ie moved from SOC 2121 with less salary to 2129 which needs higher pay. Do they have any justification as to why it was moved.

All (particularly the gurus), I'm due for ILR by end of October 2012 via Tier 2 route (ie: Work permit from Nov 2007-2009, then transferred to T2 under transitional arrangements).
