It's funny almost to a point of absurdity when people keep reciting the old mantra: " Ireland is a small country; immigration is new to Ireland, that's why the government is unable to solve the problem " I say bollocks! Quite right! NZ is also a small country, and look at the figures they achieve. ...

Not sure I completely agree with you that the "smallness" of Ireland justifies the current situation. I think a fair assessment would be the one that judges each country based on the proportionate amount of application per resources against the respective turn around time in each country. See here ...

Hi King, Can I just say... It is probably best to use the passport of each country to enter and/or work in that country (obviously), it also makes you less prone to prejudices (both ways), but no doubt your Oz accent will achieve the same. I hope you are aware of the really bad economic situation ov...

Actually, when you think about (and I doubt that the government has), if someone is unemployed that should be more reason to grant naturalisation. It sounds strange I know, but... If an unemployed person is refused s/he will probably go directly to SW and sign up for the dole, whereas... If s/he is ...

Hi all, I am new to the forum but have found it very informative. I have just sent an email to a couple of TDs, complaining about the problems in INIS and giving links to this thread and the spreadsheet. So, let's see if we get any action from them...
