The answer is simple... when any parent gets ILR, his/her status changes to settled in the UK... hence any child born in the UK, before or after the parent's ILR will automatically become British regardless of whether the parent is eligible for citizenship or not or whether that parent has British ...

As long as the cohabitation docs are there, I think its fine.

its even more straight forward as your wife was always your dependent.
