Re: Applying as spouse of British Citizen

Thanks, All the suggested replies revolve around getting hold of the passport in the first place. My dilemma is that I only have a copy of the front page of the passport and nothing else. Even verification by the solicitor will require original to be presented. Is there no other way? i.e a letter fr...

Hi, Do I need to submit the Sponsorship Undertaking Form (SU07) for my wife's settlement visa? It’s not required according to any document I have come across, but my agent wants me to send over a notarised copy of this declaration. Also does anyone know if attestation of passport copies by Post of...

Wife's employment declaration in application

Hi, My wife is applying for her visa from Pakistan. I have sufficient funds to show I can bear all future expenses. Should we show that my wife is working at the moment? I'm afraid more information might lead to more scrutiny and more chances of denial. Also do I need to get the main page of my Brit...

One of the reasons for the delays could be the training the case workers had to go through prior to the new rules kicking in on the 6th of April. I think the caseworkers are not segregated into fixed teams, so have to be aware of all the new immigration rules. I could go on speculating on the reason...

If 'waiting to be allocated' and 'waiting for checks' is the same thing, than perhaps UKBA is now conducting enhanced checks for Naturalisation applications which were not conducted before. Maybe this is the backdoor for the conservative govt to tighten the naturalisation process. That is plausible...

The latest approval on this forum was for someone who applied on 7th March.

I wonder what would take the average time from 3 weeks to 12 weeks in a matter of weeks, has to be something more than few extra applications.

ferrarilondon wrote:750 applications a day? OMG what is the source of this information. this is a lot

According to Migration watch in 2010 almost 190,000 naturalised. 700 is just an average.

Naturalisation is a bottleneck where every type of settlement ends up, from Tier 1, Work Permit to family.

Ahmed agree with you, UK BA should have online tracking service , at least we can have some peace of mind seeing our applications climbing up. even we pay around 800 for the fees still have to wait for long. The Home Office receives almost 700 Naturalisation applications a day, even if they have 25...

If they have 3 times the normal applications, than how come the time it takes them to get money out of our bank hasn't changed? Neither has the timing of the confirmation letters. I applied on the 14th and got my bank credited on the 18th followed by the letter on the 22nd. Consistent with the norma...

Break in employment

Hi,

I am on a Tier 1 visa.

Would there be any issue in applying for ILR, if I have a 3 months employment break? I was still in UK during this time.

The new employer took more than 2 months to do the background checks!

Any help is appreciated.
