I think some people here should get a grip on reality and stop abusing Home Office phone lines (not to mention that they are not obliged to give you any information before 6 months - you are abusing their good will). The only result would be that they will stop giving any status updates whatsoever! ...

I called the Home Office today. My application is still sitting in a corner, unloved and feeling dejected. Submitted on 14th March. I think it is a bit too early for you to worry! Where is the place of traditional British customer service? Traditional British customer service is no customer service...

the above, quite often, works against you - not that it is the case with your BC application (I have no idea how they work), just in general: having dependants makes you more stable :D Really? In my experience people with children (especially young children) are much more unstable :P When you say n...

No, you are not OK - it is the last day of your 5th year. So if they will receive your application on that day, it will be automatically refused.

You are trying to save £56, but you will lose £800+

Being unemployed and applying for citizenship

So... about an hour ago I was made redundant and now am unemployed. Can't express how 'happy' I am with this development, but the worst thing is that I was going to apply for citizenship on the 1st of March (and even booked NCS appointment) - however it is not clear to me whether I can do it while u...

The demand for IT contractors is generally the same as for permanent employees - so at the moment it is rather bad and rates are low too.
