Re: Can a wife pply for Citizenship when husband doesn't wan

I would think so. Once you get the ILR you are not a visa holder's dependant anymore. Check your ILR Visa stamp, it should say if your status depends on your husband's. In my case (visa holder's dependant) I could apply together with my childrens without my husband. I got my ILR in Oct 09 and would ...

If you are planning to apply for citizenship then wait until July, just to be on the safe side....it will be the HO case worker criteria to overlook your convictions and you might end up losing the application fee. Drive very carefully so you dont have to wait 5 more years to apply. Good luck! Thank...

was it a fixed penalty?....did the case go to court?... The 5-year period counts from the date of the conviction and not from the date when the offence was commited. Hi, I found this thread related to my situation and I would be very grateful if some one can reply to my questions. I had 6 driving po...

APPLICATION FOR CITIZENSHIP APROVED!

i agree because you were fined by a court, the offence will be spent after 5years. As Z.yas pointed out, you may want to look at how to withdraw the application. this is merely because you have not declared the offence and it may very well be considered as deception which could lead you into a lot ...

SPENT (SP30) TRAFFIC OFENCE

Driving without license is not a minor offence. The caseworker guidance makes it clear that its one of the offences that CANNOT be disregarded while considering an application for naturalisation. Vinny has posted a link to the relevant guidance elsewhere.. See also Naturalisation, when to apply? hi...

im afraid you cant. The 5 year rule applies to migrants who have spent 5 yrs on either work permits or HSMP/tier 1 or a combination of both. Your student visa counts towards the 10year rule for long residence. .. I am afraid the time you spent as student do not count for ILR purposes. I personally ...

Re: HSMP ILR JR: backdated child benefit claim

Has anyone been able to claim backdated child benefit or child tax credit based on HSMP ILR JR? My backdated claim was not accepted therefore I am appealing against it. Both my sons were born in the UK. At first CB only was willing to pay from the date we got our ILR. I appealed and sent to the CB ...

HSMP ILR JR BACKDATED ILR NO FOR DEPENDANTS BUT FOR MAIN APP

Hi all!.... Just this morning we got all the passports and supporting documents back. ILR has been granted. However it surprises me that the cover letter giving backdated ILR is only for the main applicant. I, as a spouse, will not be able to apply for citizenship until next year, which means that i...
