Hi there I am a naturalised british citizen(obtained through hsmp---ilr route.). for the last 8 months. I used hammersmith NCS but had my ceremoney at hillsborrough castle/estate........but you have to mention your preference at NCS otherwise they put u in for that council by default!(nearly did that to me glad i asked at the end of NCS consultation)
Hi there very happy to have received my British par passport this PM only after 2 working days following interview and well within 10 days following application. IPS sure has a fantastic customer service compared to the UKBA who is totally random and non-transperant about the way they process natura...
hi there I had exactly the same issue when i was applying for naturalisation. Unfortunately there is no NCS in Belfast and I actually travelled to London and used the Hammersmith and Fulham(which is the cheapest and lets you search available dates in an online system and book it online) It was a has...
Hi there I had a police caution and did not need to declare on the form(caution was in 2006) as I applied in october. But unfortunately I think the new laws state that if you have a caution within last 3 years you won't be approved!
i second the above comment! and what abt paying a shi*load of money and getting docs/approval in a 2nd class post??? even the ppl sending out junk adverts(virgin for example) sends it first class.......after charging so much should atleast have the decency to use 1st class/if not special delivery po...
hi there everybody.........got approval today(was not even asked for dat1/psni clearance) 2 months from the date of application. booked ceremoney at the end of the week. I think not requiring PSNI sped things up........also had formal police caution for domestic violence(obviously not required to de...
Dear all, Very happy to say that received our approval this AM.(DOA 18th oct DOAPPr: 18th Dec received only today!) citizenship ceremoney booked for this friday!. Many many thanks to everyone in this website(not only the citizenship forum but starting from HSMP/Teir1/ILR/citizenship) I used this web...

hey there help_me..............I think I Will have to do the same(i.e) get DAT1 as i am from NI. would you please tell me what was actually said on the letter from UKBA? did they put any time limit during which you had to contact PSNI for DAT1? It is very important for me to know as I am applying on...
totally agree............it was good to have a club for each month where along with timeline relevant discussions could have taken place instead of flipping back to a 120 page generic discussion thread which was pretty much useless. It was not doing any harm rather was good in the sense that a parti...
with due respect and If I may say so........I can appreciate a main and sticky topic of timelines which should be restricted to timelines only........but I think the idea of the individual monthly topics(which strictly are not timelines rather than properly named "clubs") are much nicer/friendlier a...
thanks sushmedha for a prompt reply.............:( now that makes it complicated.........3 months is ok as i would definitely be back but 3 weeks might be a problem.....hahahahhaha almost makes me wish that my application gets delayed! I bet this is the first time any1 said that in this forum!! on a...

I plan to return in the last week of december Being too hopeful as I am,...... hoping that the approval might come through in the post maybe mid december onwards. my questions are 1)does it ne...
Dear All, I will be applying for naturalization soon(18th oct) at a NCS at London. from previous posts I know that the application is a bit time consuming and annoying if done by a nortern ireland resident as there is a extra step of UKBA writing back to you to organise local police check as they do...
