Hi Guys,

I am planning to apply OCI for my daughter in UK, but I have to travel soon afterwards. My question is can I get her an E-Visa/Tourist and then get the OCI stamped in Delhi, India?

I need to apply for OCI for myself and wife,

1)Can I just go on my own to apply for both of us in person.
2) During appointment booking, do I put the number of applications to "2" and enter her details in too?

In my experience no officer ever asks for a return ticket unless they are suspicious of the reason for visit.

1) you are correct
2) no need of a solicitor.
3) i believe your wife would not be eligible for ilr as there is a 2 year minimum cohab requirement for ilr. She might have to go for extension. May be a more senior member can advise?

The cw didnt ask for any specific docs. I submitted these as my salary for one month was paid by the parent company, so in order to clear a potential confusion i submitted these.

With regards to p60 i picked it up from this forum that its just a nice to have

Just want to thank everyone who took out time to answer my questions and help me get ILR. My case was hsmp 2 yrs + tier 1 Came to uk 2 months after intial visa. 180 days calulation

Dear All, I am confused about 180 days calculation. I have spent 117 days outside the UK, but came into UK initially 69 days after visa stamp. Does this mean that I go over 180 days 117+69 = 186?? 3 days out of this are official assignment out of country? IS it worth getting a letter from employer ...
