thank you batleykhan for your reply, well i don't want actually to do this in and out all the time during the 2 years, it's just i got a difficult situation that i can't leave my current job before January 2010, so my plan is : as my wife at the moment is with me for a month in my country of residen...

Just got a settlement visa but..

Hello all, I have just got the settelment visa :D and i wanted to travel to the UK but i'm not sure that i can stay for a long period continuously. i was wondering is it imperative or optional to stay for a month maybe and then leave the UK for my country for 3 months and after that travel to the UK...

so guys just wondering sorry to jump in but just wanted to ask ,actually let me elaborate im from zimbabwe and the online facility isnt available but south africa has got this facility would i be able to apply from south africa coz zimbabweans dont need permission to be in south africa at the moment...

yeah ECO: entry clearance officer. he or she is the one who refused my settelment visa one year ago after 2 weeks from applying, so if it took more than 2 weeks that means it would be granted hopefully but might take long time. i had to appeal against the decision and i won the case after 10 months,...

Its taking up to 3-4 months in the Indian subcontinent to issue visas after winning the appeal. well, as long as they have a permit to stay in any country, they can then apply for a visa to the UK at the british embassy or the UK visa section in this country.
i applied for a visit visa to the UK from the country that i have a residence visa in it, and i have been granted the visa.

well ,as long as they have a permit to stay in any country they can apply then for a visa to the UK at the British embassy or the UK visa section in this country.
I myself applied once for a visit visa to the UK from the country which i have a residence visa in it.
