I think you shouls use the reference number written on ILR.

In my case i got the letter (HSMP-JR) . I used that number.

Same number is written on Naturalisation certificate as well.

I applied for child Benefit on 7th July for 2 kids (one born in UK and second outside of UK )

Last month they told me that they have forward my file to account department and i will get the money in couple of weeks.

I got the ILR from Croydon on 2nd July still waiting for refund

No need to take the dependant with you. Me and my family (Wife + 2kids) got the ILR from Croydon office. I went to croydon office without the dependants.

I got the ILR self-employed for 2 years.

PEO person in Croydon asked me can i proof that i am self employed i said yes. They have not asked anything else.

I got ILR on 2/7/2009 from Croydon office still waiting for payment.
