Congratulations Knigh7 for making it. I have 2 quick questions as I am planning to apply for extension soon. 1. Why did you applied at PEO instead of applying by post? As I understand PEO is more experience so would love to hear your reason for choosing PEO over post 2. Did you get stamp on bank sta...

If it is business trip and you will be paid salary in UK, it is ok. These days are not counted in "days out of UK" when applying for ILR. No problem for extension.

Congratulations t0mmy, I have a few questions. Appreciate if you could reply. 1. Bank Statements: a. Did you request Natwest for 12 months of Bank Statement with all transactions or just with salary? You mentioned you need to highlighted, so i guessed it was all transactions. b. Were they statement ...

Business trips are not counted in the 3 months limit. When filing ILR, you will need a letter from you employer that you were out of UK on business trips and you were paid full salary during this time.

Yes, if you qualify go for Tier 1 (General). Never know what rules will come in the future. Do not analyse just on the basis of current rule.

I had same case. This is what I did.
University Name: University X (Previously known as ABC).

In University section, include the current name as listed in website.

Also mention this once more in section 8 or 9 where you can include additional information (just to be more cautious)

I don't think you can, mainly because you are not paying any tax with that income to UK government. Correct me if I am wrong.

I don't think everyone will automatically qualify. Let's say you got work permit with 100 points initially. Came to UK. At the time of extension, if the applicant do not have decent salary, you will not have enough points to qualify (no matter how much the salary was when you initially applied for T...

If you, make sure you send a letter from your office confirming your income which proves you can afford to pay. If he/she is paying, make sure to include letter from her/his side...

Yes, your spouse has to go back. Forget about visitor visa. My wife has been studying her under her independent student visa. After completion of her studies, she went back for Tier 1 dependent visa. I know it is tough...but accept the truth.

Ya she can be granted long term visa (2 yrs or more). But every visit should not be more than 6 months. That means she need to go back after 6 months....and if she want to come back again she do not need to apply for visa again as she would have her long term visa. Hope this helps.

2 year condition for spouse’s ILR

I have 2 questions regarding spouse’s ILR 1. She was student for one year and had her independent student visa during that tenure. Later she transferred to Tier 1 dependent. Will her student visa period (1 year) be counted for 2 year residency in UK? 2. Is 2 year required to be continuous? Or it c...

There are many SAP BW jobs in UK but these jobs demands highly experienced persons. I do not want to disappoint you, but if you do not have experience in it and thinking of getting job on the basis of training, I do not think that will help much. Do not spend your money on these trainings.

In my case immigration officer didn't ask a single word about job offer. I arrived UK in Sep, 2009. Not sure, if it is new rule. I travel out of UK a lot and every time I reach here the immigration ask me which company you work for.
