Re: Citizenship Ceremony cancelled due to Covid-19

Heya, thanks for replying. I have emailed Kingston today. When did you get in touch with Kingston CC ? Is there a number to call and speak to them, do you know? They are horrible with no answer for phone calls or emails! the only thing you can do now is to email them nationality@kingston.gov.uk .. ...

Re: Citizenship Ceremony cancelled due to Covid-19

Hi, Good news - I received my citizenship invitation letter today (approval was in July). The letter says call council to book ceremony, but council's website says email council to book. I guess it's a waiting game - my letter says it was dispatched in the 1st week of october, so technically have a...

Re: Citizenship Ceremony cancelled due to Covid-19

Now that we have reached mid-July approvals with ceremony invites, let's take stock of the timeline projections. Better-than expected performance with respect to letter-sending timeline for some recent approvals has prompted me to the previous scrap point estimate for the arrival date of the invite...

Re: UKVCAS appointments at a core service - duration ?

Thank you.

It was quick. I had uploaded all my documents prior to appointment, so when I arrived, I handed passport for checking, did photo checks, they took a picture, did finger print, all other documents were checked, and returned to me. I was done in half hour.

UKVCAS appointments at a core service - duration ?

Hi,

Can I ask how long does it take at UKVCAS appointments for document checking ? I have only taken a few hours off from work to attend my appointment - Croydon core is where I am going.

Would this be enough ?

Thanks.

Hope this helps.

Hi Sean, I was in similar situation last year - have a look at my thread here which greatly helped obtain ILR in person (same day). http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=114633&highlight= Worthwhile obtaining your bank statements and SAR file to prove your activities and presence in UK. Thank you all for your help on this thread. I really appreciate ( without these very helpful tips I would not have made it today...) I just managed to get through to UKBA after 35 mins of waiting - I got thru so I cant complain :) So I asked the Advisor the following: (i) Do I need to take Life in UK Test The answer was No, in the case of stolen documents. UKBA holds an electronic ...

Thank you Sush. I agree with you TOC is not a good idea. @innocentdevil - From what I see on the UKBA website, I have to be exact on what I ask for with SAR requests. In my case, just a thought - I will need : Days In/out of country ? Passport Visa Records ? What else should I ask for ? It appears t...

Hi sushdmehta,

I was thinking if it is really really necessary to do the TOC ? This is because the Visa will be expiring anyway in a couple of weeks - if I have a copy of the Visa from the Stolen Passport and my Police Report, do you think Home Office may consider this ?

Most supporting evidence for ILR Stlolen ! Please advise

Thank you sushdmehta. I have most of the boarding passes, not all tho. For the rest I have booking confirmation. Very unfortunate! But don't worry ... you aren't doomed .. not yet at least!! 1. Payslips - Will your employer be ready to issue you a letter instead? Photocopies will not be accepted. 2....

Most supporting evidence for ILR Stlolen ! Please advise

Hi All, Rather unfortunately, I was in the midst of preparation for my visa application due early month, and had all my documents in 1 single folder in my work bag, and my bad luck - the bag was stolen from my car during a brief stop to the shop. As my application was pretty straight forward initial...
