I did the same thing since I lived in Italy and traveled around quite a bit. I put the most recent trips then added a paper addendum to the supporting documents that listed the time I was abroad on a Schengen visa and said "This includes numerous visits to other countries covered in Schengen visa ...

Reference number via email?

I sent off my application on Thursday, now I'm wondering how and when we get the reference numbers. Will they email me? I'm not really sure how the process works now that my application is out at the consulate (in Chicago, US). Do they tell you if you've been approved or not via email before you ...

same bank statements for maintenance AND previous earnings?

Can you use the same copies of bank statements to prove previous earnings AND maintenance? Under the maintenance section should I just say 'see copies of bank statements provided for previous earnings'? My checking account and savings account statements come together so can I just refer back to the ...

I've been having the exact same problem. I have Bank of America and they sent me regular black and white copies of my statements too and refused to sign them. After a lot of paranoia and a long search I finally found someone to stamp each page with a BofA stamp by going through my investment adviser ...

online application help (enough space?)

I'm filling in my online application (all applications from USA have to be online) and there doesn't seem to be enough space in the boxes provided to write complete answers. I'm stuck on the part where I have to list every trip I've taken out of the country in the past 10 years. I got about 1/5 of ...

include photocopies?

I've heard several people mention having photocopies of all original documents... are we supposed to include photocopies of every supporting document or do the caseworkers make the copies? It doesn't seem to say anything in the instructions about including originals and copies.

anyone? thanks :)

Bank statements (deposits AND withdrawals?)

I just received the original copies of my bank statements in the mail and for the 12-month calendar year, its 40 pages. Is it normal to submit such a huge bank statement? Should I have requested one with only the deposits? Do the caseworkers want to sift through 40 pages of every purchase made with ...

I was really worried that my Master's degree wouldn't count since it's in a communications field and from and American university. There was a lot being said about how American master's aren't research and won't qualify. But, I submitted mine to UK NARIC anyway and got back a positive response. I ...

Great, thanks for the links. Does anyone have a sample letter of what the accountant should prepare? I'm sure they'll know but just in case. Does every single payment have to be listed individually? My income is from a combination of two part time jobs and one freelance job so I have about 4 ...

Thanks. Since it was only a few months ago I can't get any tax information for it since I won't file until the spring. I'm going to get a letter from an accountant saying this is my earnings and this is what I WILL file. Is that what they mean by letter from an accountant? What else could the ...

Earnings from private freelance work

I'm scrounging to come up with the minimum salary history that I need to get enough points in the PBS for the Tier-1. To make the cutoff I have to include some freelance work that I did for a private person. I was paid several thousand dollars (I'm American) to do some photo editing for a private ...
