Hi, I received a 10yr Permanent Residence Document in January 2015, which is valid until January 2025. I am a Canadian citizen who has been living and working in the UK since Sept 2009 (with no breaks) as the spouse of an EU citizen who is also working and living in the UK. Am I eligible to apply fo...

Re: EEA4 Return of Passport: Only one passport returned?

Thanks all for your responses. I submitted another online form requesting the return of my expired passport with my Residence Documentation. This was over two weeks ago and I have yet to receive my passport. When I rang the Home Office to enquire about the delay, the guy I spoke to said it was sent ...

Re: EEA4 fast processing times or wishful thinking

Hi Behold2014, Same with me, I requested my two non-EEA passports back (current passport and expired passport with Residence Documentation) and they only sent me my current passport. I submitted another online form asking for my expired passport back - it's now been over 10 working days and I haven'...

Re: EEA4 Return of Passport: Only one passport returned?

Hi Zebrafishbone, Thanks for your help. It's reassuring to hear of somebody who was able to travel without a RC. I also had no idea I was meant to fill out a landing card, so many thanks for that. I plan on traveling with my COA and marriage certificate, a photocopy of my RC and my husband will also...

Re: EEA4 Return of Passport: Only one passport returned?

Hi Behold2014,

The Home Office received my application on September 24th, 2014, and my COA was dated October 13th. I requested my passport back that same day, and received it less than 10 working days later. Good luck.

Re: EEA4 Return of Passport: Only one passport returned?

Thanks Imshzd. Good to know I don't have to show a RC, but I'm still confused as to why the Home Office would only return one passport, and hold on to my expired passport? I'm a little worried that this means my expired passport with my RC is lost, which will obviously cause issues with my applicati...

RC received in less than a month

I received my RC in less than a month. Here's my story: I'm a Canadian married to a French National. I originally entered the UK on a 2 year holidaymaker visa, which expires in September 2010. September 28th, 2009: UK Broder Agency received my completed EEA2 form, with all documents including origin...

Kuka - I did call. They told tell me I can request my passport back with no issues, but I'm not sure I actually believe them. I was hoping somebody who's "been there, done that" could shed more light on my situation.

I'm hoping somebody can help me. Does anybody know if I can request my passport back before I've received my Certificate of Application, and if so will this in any way affect my ability to work?
