Eligibility for ILR with 3 months less than 5years

My wife is on Tier 1 Dependent visa and is short of 3 months to get eligible for ILR. I am just wondering is there any consideration to this?

Otherwise, I have to apply for extension which is costing us £3000 for those 3 months to get eligible for ILR.

Please let me know.

I am holding Tier 1 General visa which is expiring on 10th March 2015. I am planning to go to India and come back to UK in mid-january.

Based on Hittu's position, Even if the main applicant(Hittu) is not currently holding Tier1 General Visa (applied and got ILR), Dependent can still apply in the following ways:

Tier 1 Dependent extension
FLR(M)

Please confirm.
