10 months and counting

I sent my EEA 4 in March 2009, they requested further info in December 2009...Still waiting. I'm happy for the guys who got their PR recently. Can people keep the forum informed of progress with their applications.

I have got a similar letter asking for proof of medical insurance although we are "self sufficient" and I have provided documentation for myself and my partner who is the EEA national. Has anyone been successful lately? I have just received my COA today. It took 15 days since we sent the papers for...

They are asking me for Comprehensive Medical Insurance to show that my partner has been self-sufficient i.e. which is the way she has exercised her treaty rights whilst she was not working. From personal experience, few lawyers are conversant with the EU/EEA Application Route. Plus they tend to charge you lots for doing very little. Of course, it is wise to get advice but sometimes it may be beneficial to speak with a few lawyers/browse forums like this one to get better understanding ...

It takes about 6 months. I applied in March and I got letter to confirm receipt in May. But only just got a letter this week asking for more documentation.

I think he waiting times are getting better now but their effectiveness is still lacking!!!
