I would start chasing UKBA for your COA as it is really this document that confirms your right to work. See: When you have submitted your application form, will the UK Border Agency send you an acknowledgement? http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/eucitizens/documents-family/applying/ Note, some EEA2 a...

EC2V 8AU - nearest tube stop is Bank. But any Barclays should do it for you as long as you have appropriate ID?!

I got mine stamped at Barclays in King St EC2, but didn't ask for a letter. No problem using a Barclays debit card to pay the fees.

my experience - I applied for an EEA2 residence card with a notarised copy of my partnerºs passport, and the entire application was returned with a note saying I had failed to provide the necessary passports, so the cost of the notary was a waste. I have heard contrary stories though that notarised...

Hi there, the EEA Family Permit is a form of entry clearance, designed to enable non-EEA family members to join/accompany their EEA family to the UK. It’s only valid for 6 months as once the non-EEA person is in the UK they should apply for an EEA Residence Card. You need to apply for an EEA Famil...

Where did you apply? If in Dublin they are quite fast.

As you know, the EEA FP is good for 6 months so no need to 'rush' into the EEA2 process. On the other hand, you may want to submit your EEA2 application as soon as is possible and request your passport back for convenience of travel, opening a bank account, securing a lease and other ID-related reg...

Hi, unmarried partners are considered 'extended family members' - you have to prove the existence of the relationship, rather than for spouse/children. Unmarried partners are mentioned on the link you posted. i don't think your girlfriend's mum/brother can get a FP for a visit as it's just entry cle...

It’s nonsense alright. I have a residence card and am told something different every time I re-enter the UK (either that I should be in the ‘all other passports’ queue, or the EU queue, or that I have to be travelling with my EEA partner). I have managed though not to have to fill in a landing...

Hi there, you can apply for an EEA family permit which is a form of entry clearance, valid for 6 months and allows your wife to travel with you to the UK. Once in the UK she can apply for an EEA residence card.

Hi ChIrl, I think it would pay to check with UKBA as to whether she can travel on her own. My EEA FP didn't state 'to accompany', it just says 'Family member of EEA National XX(my partner's name)' so I guess they apply different rules for different cases.... The EEA family permit allows you multiple entry to the UK while it's valid so you can travel during that time, though you have to submit your passport with your EEA2 application so bear that in mind (though you can request it back once your application has been acknowledged). My EEA2 (unmarried part...
